#HealthyTogether
Solution to Health inclusion is dedicated to improving the overall health of people with disabilities through three pillars: physical activity, education, and healthcare.
Growing up, I watched my grandmother instill a message of inclusion and acceptance in both my family and the community around her. She founded an annual wheelchair basketball tournament that included people with and without disabilities in order to breakdown stigmas and create a fun, inclusive environment for all. Her tournament evoked empathy, understanding, and acceptance for people of all abilities. Her message is one I will forever carry close to my heart, and each day I work to continue her legacy by working towards a more inclusive world for people with disabilities.
My platform began in 2014 when I fell in love with Special Olympics and the amazing athletes involved in the organization. My passion bloomed from there as I began working with Note-Able Music Therapy Services, an organization that fueled my love of dance and enforced the power of music. I later founded a Special Olympics Unified Sports Program, served as the Youth Unified Sports Coordinator, and in 2021 partnered with the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes Program. I also served as the President for Aztec Adaptive Sports (AAS) where I worked with the San Diego State Adapted Athletics program as well as organizations and professionals dedicated to providing athletics for people with physical disabilities throughout the San Diego community.
I am an Honors graduate from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy and an Honors minor in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have been volunteering with people with disabilities since I was 13 years old, and this passion is turning into my career as I aim to obtain my Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree as well as a specialization in Pediatrics. My goal is to establish my own practice and work with children with disabilities from physical to intellectual and developmental. I am committed to being an inclusive healthcare professional in the future and encouraging others to do the same!
I am currently serving as Miss San Diego County Volunteer and am excited to share Solution to Health Inclusion across California. I will be competing for the job of Miss California Volunteer in February of 2024 and am eager to share my passion for inclusive health.
Solution to Health Inclusion is now a 10-year movement dedicated to providing opportunities and resources for people with disabilities to live happy, healthy lives. I believe that health is a basic right that should be equitable and accessible for all. There is so much work to do, and this initiative is constantly expanding and adapting to both advocate for change and actively create change itself.
Solution to Health Inclusion is my personal platform and community service passion and I am excited to share my work with you through this website. I invite you to explore to see how you can be part of the revolution for health inclusion!
